The Town of Tyrone has been informed that CSX will begin repairs and making improvements to the rail system in town beginning on January 29th.
Construction will begin at the Swanson Road crossing on the north end of town and will continue through the first week of February, concluding at the Rockwood Road crossing (Shamrock Industrial Park). Please allow for 1-2 days of closure at each railroad crossing and plan accordingly.
Please understand that all crossings belong to the railroad and the Town, therefore, has no oversight or authority over this project or how it might affect travel. We apologize ahead of time for any inconveniences this may cause.
