Advisory

38th Antelope Valley Community Academy: Applications are being processed now! Only 50 spots available.

Lancaster Sheriff's Station and Palmdale Sheriff's Station are in the process of selecting 50 interested residents from the station areas to participate in the Antelope Valley’s 38th Community Academy.

This program focuses on the Sheriff Department’s operational procedures, as well as sessions ranging from criminal law to undercover operations.

Participants will go on a ride-a-long, tour a custody facility and participate in role-playing exercises. The purpose of the Community Academy is to build a better understanding between the community and the Sheriff’s Department through education. The class will meet for eight consecutive weeks and is absolutely free. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., at our station, located at 501 West Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, 93534.

If you are interested in participating in this free class, please go to either station lobby for an application at the front counter.

If you have any questions, contact Deputy Jordan Hegge at Palmdale Sheriff’s Station at (661) 272-2604 or by email at [email protected] or Sgt. Theresa Dawson at Lancaster Sheriff’s at (661) 948-8466 or by email at [email protected].

WE HAVE LIMITED SPACE, so only the first 50 applicants will be accepted; therefore you will be notified only if you are selected. Those applicants who are eligible but are not enrolled in the academy class will be placed on a list for possible future selection.

Applications can be obtained and returned at:
