Please be advised of the following Community Events happening this weekend in Lindenhurst and Wyandanch that will cause road closures and traffic delays.
Lindenhurst Village Spring Festival -
Friday May 4th: between 5 pm and 9 pm, West Hoffman Ave., north of the LIRR from School Street to North Wellwood Ave., will be closed as well as the School Street Parking Lot for Carnival Rides.
Saturday, May 5th: between Noon and 9 pm on West Hoffman Ave., north of the LIRR from School Street to North Wellwood Ave., will be closed as well as the School Street Parking Lot for Carnival Rides.
Sunday, May 6th: between Noon and 5 pm. Wellwood Ave., from E. Gates Ave., north to John St.will be closed. Hoffman Ave., on the south side of the RR will be closed from High St. to So. 1st St., and on the north side Hoffman Ave. will be closed from Waldbaums parking lot to School St.
Wyandanch - Saturday, May 5th between 7am and 4pm:
The Witness Project/ Walk of L.I. will begin at 7 am at the Wyandanch Senior Nutrition Center. The walk will proceed to Straight Path, head south to Wellwood Ave., to Farmers Ave., east to Indiana Ave. to Sunrise Highway, pass Town of Babylon Town Hall to Monroe Ave., Lindenhurst, to the pond, ending there.
Please take this information into consideration, and plan your travel route accordingly.
