* Until 930 PM EDT.

* At 840 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 12 miles southwest of Burnsville to 4 miles north of
Downtown Asheville, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
Downtown Asheville, East Asheville, Arden, West Asheville, North
Asheville, Black Mountain, Mills River, Woodfin, Fletcher and
Swannanoa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A few trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned area.
Some of the storms will be accompanied by brief heavy rainfall, and
little or no lightning. Seek shelter inside an interior room.
