LIRR 2nd Track Project: Notification of Road Detour
The Contractor working on the LIRR 2nd Track Project is required to construct new platforms and associated structures at Wyandanch Station.
This Saturday 6/23 5AM through Saturday 7PM and Sunday 6AM through Sunday 7PM (6/24) we will be closing Long Island Avenue from Grand Blvd to Deer Street and detouring traffic as specified in our PE approved MPT road detour plans which comply with NYS DOT traffic control standards and have been reviewed with LIRR and TOB. Be advised, construction will be performed only on LIRR property. This is the same road detour for work performed on previous weekends. As a reminder, the small portion of Grand Blvd between Long Island Ave and Doe Street will be temporarily changed to allow for two way traffic while this detour is in effect.
