Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster Detectives are continuing their investigation into a stabbing that occurred on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 near the Stater Brothers on 20th Street East and Avenue J in Lancaster.
Lancaster Detectives have announced that on Thursday August 23, 2018 at approximately 3:00 p.m., the suspect of an assault with a deadly weapon that occurred on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 was arrested by Lancaster deputies. The suspect was identified and arrested without incident. He was transported to Lancaster Sheriff station.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS
On Tuesday, August 21st, 2018, the suspect assaulted a man near Stater Brothers on 20th Street East and Avenue J in the city of Lancaster. The victim confronted the suspect who was rummaging through the victim’s backpack. The suspect, a male black, 40 years old, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, stabbed the victim multiple times then fled the area. The suspect is believed to frequent the area of Avenue J and 20th St East. He may be homeless and rides a black bicycle. He may also have a white goatee.
