Traffic/ Road Closure Advisory for multiple community events/parades on Sat. Oct. 20th and Sun. Oct. 21st.

Please be advised of the following community events/parades taking place this weekend that may cause traffic and temporary road closures. 
Saturday, October 20th
Copiague
Tanner Park

10:00 am – 3:00 pm – Annual Trunk or Treat

Deer Park
10:00 am – 1:30 pm - Deer Park High School Homecoming Parade starting at 101 Lake Ave., (JFK Intermediate School)
Traveling west on Lake Ave. to Deer Park Ave., north to Nicolls Rd., left to No. 1st St., to Deer Park High School Football parking lot.
 
Lindenhurst
12:00 pm – 2:00 pm Lindenhurst HS Homecoming Parade begins at Firemen’s Park and continues south on Wellwood Ave. to the rear of the Lindenhurst Middle School.
 
West Babylon
12:00 pm – 2:00 pm- West Babylon Homecoming Parade beginning at Little East Neck Rd. and Chelsea Ave., West  Babylon (parking lot adjacent to Joe’s Italian Food Market) traveling south on Little East Neck Rd. to the West Babylon Jr. High, 200 Old Farmingdale Rd.
 
East Farmingdale
US Academy of Soccer Beer Tasting Festival with Live Music promoting Long Island Craft Brewers

Babylon Village
11:00 am – 5:00 pm- Babylon Chamber of Commerce Annual Street Fair.  Deer Park Ave., from Railroad Ave. to Main St. in Babylon Village will be closed. Partial closure of Fire Island Ave., just south of Main St.
 
Babylon Village- 9:00 am
Post Office Café is hosting the annual 5K Race for Charity. Beginning in the heart of Babylon Village and ending in the municipal parking lot behind the Post Office Café. The route will be throughout the country roads of overlooking the Great South Bay.

Deer Park
6:00 am – 12:00 pm – Michael Sena’s Run for Hope 5K to bring awareness to drug addiction. This event begins and ends at 1 Falcon Place, Deer Park High School. The race will affect the following roadways: No. First St., Acorn St., Ocean Ave, Adam St., Western Ave, Nicolls Rd., Half Hollow Rd., Old Country Rd. and Jefferson Ave.
