Lock It or Lose It! #NightlyLockup 
Over the past two days, our officers have responded to reports of at least two vehicles that were stolen, as well as thefts from at least three vehicles. Each of the vehicles were unlocked and the vehicles that were stolen had the keys in them and were in open garages.
Agencies across Dane County, including Middleton Police, have seen an increase in the number of thefts from motor vehicles and thefts of vehicles and we strongly encourage everyone to keep your vehicles, homes, garages and personal belongings secured. Many of the thefts have involved unlocked vehicles with valuables left in plain view and could have easily been prevented if the vehicles were locked, garages locked & valuables removed or hidden.
