Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing to assist the Baldwin Park Police Department in their investigation into the shooting of a male Hispanic adult. The incident occurred Friday, November, 16, 2018, at 2:09 p.m., on the 4200 block of La Rica Avenue, Baldwin Park.
Detectives have learned that Baldwin Park police officers responded to a shots fired call. Upon their arrival they located one male Hispanic adult with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
The male adult victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspects who were believed to be on bicycles, fled the location northbound on La Rica Avenue, and out of view.
The motive for the shooting is unknown.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
