*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Detectives Make Arrests in the Death Investigation of female in the San Gabriel Mountains

On November 24, 2018, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators responded to the city of Azusa to investigate the death of a female that was found in a gulley, in the San Gabriel Mountains.
 
The female was later identified to be Johanna Lissette Mejia Gaytan.
 
During the course of the investigation, Homicide Detectives subsequently made 3 arrests for the murder of Johanna, and presented a felony murder filing to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office on December 05, 2018 under Case #KA119684.
 
On December 1, 20 year old Christian Granados of Los Angeles, was arrested in connection with Johanna’s murder and on December 3, 20 year old Frediz Lopez of Los Angeles, was also arrested in connection with Johanna’s murder.
 
Both males have been charged with Murder, 187(a) P.C, and are being held without bail.
 
On December 6, Homicide Investigators presented this same case to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Juvenile Office, for the arrest a 16 year old female of Compton, in connection with Johanna’s murder. She has also been charged with Murder, 187(a) P.C. and is being held without bail.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman. She was found in a gulley in the San Gabriel Mountains, on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at approximately 12:15 P.M.
 
Detectives have learned that deputies from San Dimas Sheriff’s station responded to East Fork Road. The body was located approximately 1 mile east of Highway 39, in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County in the San Gabriel Mountains.
 
The victim was discovered by a local resident who was on a walk and made the grisly discovery. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered a deceased woman lying in a culvert that is adjacent to a roadway turnout.
 
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma.

There is no suspect description, nor any further information at this time.
 
The investigation is still on going.
