Flood Warning until 11:15PM

The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has issued a

* Flood Warning for Urban Areas and Small Streams in... Southeastern Sonoma County in northern California...

* Until 1115 PM PST.

* At 817 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will cause flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Portions of Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Cotati, South Santa Rosa Cdp, Forestville and Graton. Flood waters are moving through Green Valley Creek, Colgan Creek, Laguna De Santa Rosa Creek, and Willow Brook and will be over the coming hours.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SONOMA, CA

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
