Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team arrested Thomas Tabbert who was wanted by INTERPOL for an armed bank robbery

SUSPECT(S): Thomas Tabbert 61-year-old
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, deputies from the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) developed information regarding a wanted subject in downtown Joshua Tree. Tabbert was wanted by INTERPOL for an armed bank robbery in his home country of Germany. Tabbert had an active US Marshals Federal warrant for his arrest.
Tabbert was located at a vacant business in Joshua Tree and taken into custody without incident. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail on the No Bail warrant.
Problem Oriented Policing is a specialized position within the Town of Yucca Valley’s Police Department. Sheriff's Detective Emanuel Popa and Deputy Robert Stucki are currently assigned to this full-time position. The primary focus of “Problem Oriented Policing” is to provide solutions to law enforcement related issues that adversely affect the citizens who live, work and visit the Town of Yucca Valley.
Positions funded by the Town of Yucca Valley Measure Y were instrumental in the investigation of this case.
