Narrative:
On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at approximately 7:19 PM, Pomona Police Officers responded to the area of E. Franklin Ave and S. Reservoir St in reference to a possible carjacking.  Officers received information from one victim who stated the suspect attempted to carjack him with a knife, however the suspect was unsuccessful.  While responding to the area information was received that the suspect had fled the location in a gray Scion TC. The Pomona Police Air Unit arrived on scene within minutes and was able to locate the gray Scion travelling southbound on S. Reservoir Ave, towards the City of Chino.
 
The air unit tracked the car to the 13000 block of Second St in the City of Chino, where the suspect went into a restaurant. Chino Police Officers responded to the location and took the suspect into custody without further incident. Pomona Police officers spoke with the driver of the gray Scion TC at the Chino location and determined that he was also a victim of a kidnapping, as the suspect brandished a replica handgun at the victim in Pomona and forced him to drive to the City of Chino.
 
 
Suspects Muniz was booked at the Pomona City Jail on the above indicated charges.
