On 05/08/2019 at about 4:00pm, Stallion Springs Police Department received information regarding a shooting at a residence in the 28-200 block of Preakness Drive in Stallion Springs.
A Stallion Spring Police Officer and a Kern County Sheriff’s Office Deputy responded to the residence and located a male and female suffering from gunshot wounds inside of the residence. The female subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male subject appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was transported to Kern Medical where he is listed in critical condition.
Stallion Springs Police Department requested Kern County Sheriff’s Office assume the investigation. Kern County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
