The Simi Valley Council on Aging will be holding their Annual Wellness Expo on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the Simi Valley Senior Center located at 3900 Avenida Simi. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The goal of the Wellness Expo is to promote health and wellness services for seniors. Free health screenings will be available on a first come, first served basis and will include carotid artery, glucose, hearing, blood pressure, balance and more….
You will have the opportunity to visit exhibitors’ booths specializing in important services for seniors. Get information on health and social services, insurance, legal assistance, long-term care, and housing, along with many other resources to help seniors stay as healthy and happy as possible as they age.
Other highlights will include a CPR demonstration and tips for coping with life. The Simi Valley Police Department Crime Analysis and Prevention Unit will provide a “Drug Drop Off Box” for safe disposal of prescriptions drugs. In addition, local businesses and exhibitors have donated fabulous door prizes that attendees can enter to win!
