INCIDENT:    Murder Investigation
 
LOCATION: 1900 block of W. Mesa Street, Muscoy
 
SUSPECT:    Emmanuel Oyola, 21 years old, resident of San Bernardino
 
VICTIM:          Jonathan Bustos, 22 years old, resident of Muscoy
 
UPDATE:
Based on information gathered during the investigation, Emmanuel Oyola was identified as the suspect in the murder of Jonathan Bustos. On Tuesday, May 21^st at 12:30 p.m. Oyola was taken into custody and booked at Central Detention Center where he is being held without bail. He is expected to be arraigned on Thursday, May 23^rd.

SUMMARY:
On Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 3:00 a.m. deputies responded to 911 calls in the 1900 block of W. Mesa Street in Muscoy, reporting a stabbing. Deputies arrived and found Jonathan Bustos suffering from a stab wound. Medical personnel transported Bustos to San Bernardino Community Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 4:12 a.m.
 
Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives responded to conduct the investigation. Detectives determined that Bustos lived on W. Mesa Street and there was a party at a neighboring home. Bustos became involved in a verbal dispute with partygoers and as Bustos was arguing with an unidentified male, several other partygoers and Bustos’ family became involved in a fight. During the fight, Bustos was stabbed by an unidentified Hispanic male. The male left the location in a white sedan.
