Suffolk County Police yesterday arrested a man following a narcotics investigation in Centereach.
 
During the course of the investigation, detectives apprehended Chaleek Williams for possession and intent to sell crack cocaine on the playground at the Oxhead Road Elementary School, located at 144 Oxhead Road, with his two-year-old daughter present. Williams was also in possession of a quantity of MDMA. As he was being placed under arrest, Williams became combative and had to be restrained by officers.
 
Williams, 25, of 62 North Washington Avenue, Centereach, was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3^rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3^rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Narcotics 4^th Degree, Resisting Arrest, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th Degree.
 
Williams will be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
 
The child was released into the custody of family.
 
 
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
