A Yucca Valley couple is arrested after threatening victims with imitation firearms and a baseball bat

INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Vehicle Theft
LOCATION: 7000 block of Emerson Avenue, Yucca Valley
SUSPECT(S): Isaiah Robinson, 19-year-old resident of Yucca Valley
Jessicalyn Steffler, 20-year-old resident of Yucca Valley
VICTIM(S): Multiple
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at approximately 2:00 a.m., Isaiah Robinson stole a 2007 Ford Mustang from the 73000 block of Two Mile Road, in Twentynine Palms. Robinson parked the stolen vehicle at Walmart in Yucca Valley and fled on foot to his residence in the 7000 block of Emerson Avenue. The victim’s friends identified Robinson as the car thief, and confronted him at his residence. Robinson and his girlfriend, Jessicalyn Steffler, exited the residence with weapons. Robinson brandished and pointed a firearm, later determined to be an imitation firearm (see attached photos), at the victims. Steffler swung a baseball bat at the victim’s multiple times.
Deputies and detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Morongo Basin Station, conducted a search warrant at the residence. Deputies located several imitation firearms, and the baseball bat used in the assault. Deputies recovered the stolen vehicle, and released the vehicle to the victim.
Robinson and Stefller were arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
