Police Arrest Outstanding Suspect from Tues Afternoon Search 
Officers from the San Leandro Police Department have arrested the outstanding suspect that they had been looking for in the area between the Estudillo Estates and Assumption Parish neighborhoods.
Schools that were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure have been released to return to their normal day. Parents waiting to pick up their children may do so at this time.
Detectives remain in the area, searching for any evidence that may have been left behind by the fleeing suspect. However, the "shelter in place" order has been lifted, as the suspect is in police custody. There are no other outstanding suspects.
The San Leandro Police would like to thank those affected for their patience, understanding and cooperation during this event, especially those who called police with infomration that ultimately led to the suspect's safe apprehension.
Additional details surrounding today's incident will be released later this afternoon.
