UPDATE-NOW OPEN... Roadway blocked by railroad arms, avoid streets Marina to Davis along San Leandro Blvd 
As of 9:45am, the railroad has fixed the problems surrounding the crossing arms and all roadways are open...

HEAVY TRAFFIC (NOT MOVING) along San Leandro Blvd due to railroad arms being stuck in down position. AVOID the following streets:
* Marina @ San Leandro Blvd
* Castro @ San Leandro Blvd
* Williams @ San Leandro Blvd
* Davis @ San Leandro Blvd
The railroad has been notified and is responding with an unknown ETA. Officers are staffed at each railroad crossing to help with traffic flow as citizens were raising the railroad gates. SLPD was able to stop an Amtrack train at Davis Street and avert disaster.
An update will be provided when the roadway is clear.
