Mayor Bhalla invites community to Pride Month flag raising on Monday, 11 am

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla invites members of the community to join in a flag raising ceremony in recognition of Pride month, which is celebrated by cities across the country. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, which is known as the beginning of the modern LGBTQ+ movement.

The ceremony will take place on Monday, June 3 at 11:00 am on the steps of City Hall.  Also joining in the flag raising will be representatives from Hudson Pride Center, Laura Knittel, the City’s LGBTQ+ liaison, and City officials.

Hoboken will officially celebrate Pride Month for the second consecutive year during the month of August, along with other Hudson County cities including Jersey City, Guttenberg, and Union City.
