Sheriff's Aviation assisted Chino Valley Fire Dept. on an injury traffic collision in Chino Hills

LOCATION: Hwy 71 at Pine Ave., Chino Hills
VICTIM: 39-year-old motorist
CREW: AR306- Pilot Lt. A. Daniel
Crew Chief- Cpl. J. Scalise
Crew Member- Firefighter’s E. Sherwin and J. Deshon
SUMMARY:
On May 30, 2019 at approximately 4:00 p.m., the crew of Air Rescue 306 was requested to assist Chino Valley Fire Department with an automobile accident on the 71 Freeway at Pine Ave. The initial report was a vehicle struck a big-rig truck from the rear and the driver his vehicle was trapped under the big-rig.
Once onscene, Medics Sherwin and Deshon assisted Chino Valley Fire as they extricated the victim from underneath the big-rig. Once freed, the driver was given medical aid and transported to a trauma center.
The driver was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he received treatment for serious injuries.
