DETAILS: The Panhandle Auto Burglary and Theft Unit worked 105 stolen vehicle reports for the month of May. Of the105 stolen auto reports 98 had the keys left in the vehicle and 19 were left running unattended.
93% of the vehicle stolen could have been prevented if the keys were not left in the vehicle and the vehicle locked! It is up to the citizens of Amarillo to help us lower this number!
