During the service of a search warrant, deputies located approx 6 grams of cocaine, an AR-15 rifle, and a handgun

INCIDENT: HS 11370.1 - Possession of Narcotics While Armed
LOCATION: 35000 block of San Carlos Street, Yucaipa
SUSPECT: Jose Fuerte, age 41 a resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On June 2, 2019, deputies from the Yucaipa Sheriff's Station responded to the 35000 block of San Carlos Street to assist Riverside County Sheriff's Department with a probation search of a residence.
During the search of the residence, they contacted Jose Fuerte who was found in possession of approximately six grams of cocaine. Deputies continued their search and located an unserialized AR-15 rifle, a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun and assorted ammunition. Fuerte is prohibited from owning any firearms.
Fuerte was placed under arrest for HS 11370.1 - Possession of Narcotics While Armed and booked into Central Detention Center. Additional charges related to his possession of the firearms, and possession of an unserialized firearm could be considered by the District Attorney's Office.
