The suspect in the May 23rd homicide on Amarillo Boulevard has been arrested

Through this investigation the APD Special Crimes Unit and US Marshal Task Force were able to place Anthony Laquin Price in the area of Corsicana, Texas. On June 15th, information was received that Price was in Kerens, Texas. Information was relayed to Kerens Police Department and Anthony Price was located, and after a short chase, arrested for his murder warrant. Price was booked into the Navarro County Justice Center for Murder, Evading Arrest/Detention, Fail to ID Fugitive Intent, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

On May 23rd at 3:22 AM, an APD officer driving in the North Heights area heard multiple gunshots, but could not tell where they came from. Shortly after this, multiple calls began to come in stating that a male had been shot at the Legends After Hours Club at 600 West Amarillo Boulevard. Koelenzie Cameron Mills, a 31 year old male, had been shot multiple times in the upper body and died at the scene.  APD Special Crimes Detectives were called in to investigate and determined that Anthony Laquin Price, 24 year old male, was the shooter. Price is not in custody and a murder warrant has been issued out of Potter County for him. He is described as being 5’8’’ tall and weighing 145 pounds.
