Yesterday, a murder suspect found out the hard way that that when you flee from police, it’s not wise to come through Clayton County.  APD with Georgia State Patrol assisting chased a stolen vehicle into Clayton County that they got a hit confirmation on.  The vehicle chase ended in the area of Tara Blvd and Battle Creek Rd where the suspect got out and fled on foot.

Cobra units responded set up a perimeter and surrounded the area while putting a tracking k-9 on the ground.  Clayton County Police gave continuous air support from “The Falcon” helicopter.  The Cobra commander spotted the suspect and kept her at bay while Jonesboro PD assisted in the arrest.

The suspect was identified on the scene as Brandisha Williams. It was soon discovered that Williams was wanted for a murder that occurred in DeKalb County last month.  Williams is accused of setting up a man for a robbery where he was shot and killed.  

Williams is now facing the wall at “The Hill-ton” no doubt wondering why she drove south to Clayton County instead of somewhere else.  However, Williams will not face the wall for too long because she will soon be shipped backed to DeKalb County to answer for the charge of murder.
