The Fairfield Police Department is Asking for Help Locating a Vehicle
 
On July 18, 2019, at 11:45pm, a 58 year-old Fairfield resident was riding her bike in the bike lane of Sunset Avenue, near Daniel Street.  The driver of a red SUV ran over the bicyclist and drove away.  The bicyclist broke several bones and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.  The bicyclist is in critical, but stable condition. 
 
The Fairfield Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate the vehicle that struck the bicyclist.  The vehicle was a red 2003 Saturn Vue Sport Utility Vehicle, with California plate 5CGA081.  A picture of the suspect vehicle is attached. 
 
If anyone sees this vehicle, please call 9-1-1.  If anyone has information about where this vehicle might be, or about this collision, please call Sgt. Thomas at 707-428-7524.
