INCIDENT: PC 459 - Burglary
VC 10851 - Grand Theft Auto
LOCATION: 1200 Block of Opal Ave, Mentone
SUSPECT: Bradley Salser, 34-years-old, transient
SUMMARY:
On July 21, 2019 at approximately 11:42 p.m., Deputy N. Silva was working proactive patrol in the Mentone. While patrolling the area of Opal Ave and Nice Ave, Silva noticed a gate to a storage yard had been cut open. The location was dark and there did not appear to be anyone around.
Deputy Silva began a search of the property and located Salser, who is on probation for vehicle theft, hiding inside the property. Salser was detained without incident and burglary tools were located where Salser was contacted. A vehicle was found to be tampered with and moved. Investigation showed Salser forced entry into the property and was in the process of stealing the vehicle when the crime was interrupted by Deputy Silva.
Salser was booked for burglary, vehicle theft, outstanding warrants and violation of probation and is being held without bail.
