Sheriff Victor Hill’s Joint Task Force Warrant Roundup Nets 26 Captured Fugitives!
Yesterday, Clayton County Police, Morrow PD, and Forest Park PD, teamed up for a joint task force warrant round up in Clayton County. 26 wanted subjects were arrested as a result of this joint effort.
One noteworthy incident occurred when Officers and Deputies went to served an active arrest warrant on William J. Harriot for Aggravated Assault and Cruelty to Children at an address on Glen Haven Dr.
While serving the warrant, a black male, later identified as Darion Turner leaped from a bedroom window and fled the residence on foot. Deputies gave chase to Turner, which lead to a residence on Windwood Rd. Turner approached the rear of the residence, knocked on the back door, and upon the resident opening the door Turner pushed the resident aside and ran into the home.
Deputies entered the residence behind Turner and located him hiding in a closet in the master bedroom. Turner failed to comply with deputies, as they gave several commands to surrender and was tased. Turner was subsequently taken into custody without further incident and charged with Obstruction. Turner said that he fled because he thought he had an active warrant for his arrest. The homeowner advised that she did not know Turner and that she did not give him permission to enter her home. Harriot was located inside the original location.
Turner and Harriot along with 24 others are all guest at “The Hill-ton” where they are facing the wall military style.
