Swift actions by all involved agencies lead to capture of two Armed Robbery suspects

On Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 4:05 PM Marietta Police were notified by Cobb County 911 Dispatch that armed suspects were inside the Cash America Pawn shop at 316 Cobb Parkway South.  Dispatchers quickly relayed the initial information and multiple Marietta officers responded while the 911 call taker continued to gather information.  Approximately sixty seconds after the dispatch, the 911 call taker notified responding officers that a witness stated two black males had entered the business with weapons.  The first Marietta officer arrived at 4:07 PM and swiftly determined the suspects had fled in a vehicle.  At 4:09 PM the officer was able to give out detailed descriptions of the suspects and within a few more minutes he was able to provide a description of the vehicle they fled in.  911 Dispatchers immediately shared the information with all surrounding law enforcement agencies.  At approximately 4:20 PM a Cobb County Police Department (CCPD) officer located the suspect vehicle Southbound on I-285 at Paces Ferry Road.  Thanks to the 911 call center organizing the exchange of information, coupled with the persistence and organized efforts of CCPD and Atlanta Police Department (APD) officers, both suspects were located and taken into custody.
