The Marietta Police Department is pleased to announce its upcoming Citizens Police Academy. This program provides citizens of Marietta with an opportunity to experience and take an in-depth look at what it is like to be a police officer.
During the program, participants will get an overview of various units within the police department and learn about multiple topics such as: Crime Analysis, Narcotics, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Crime Interdiction Unit, Investigative Services, Traffic Enforcement, Community Response Unit, K-9 Unit, Crime Scene Processing, and much more.
The ten week program is FREE of charge and is scheduled to begin on September 5, 2019. Classes will be held every Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Marietta Police Department for ten weeks.
