Santa Maria Police investigate an early morning carjacking on the 700 block of east Bunny. 
On 8-10-19 at about 1:30 am, SMPD officers were sent to the area of the 700 block east Bunny regarding a victim of a carjacking.
The investigation revealed the victim was approached by a group of males while seated in his vehicle. The suspects demanded his property and one suspect produced a handgun during the incident and pointed it at the victim.
The suspects took the victims property and vehicle prior to fleeing. Some suspects fled on foot while another left in the victim's vehicle. The victim was not injured during the incident.
