On August 11, 2019 at 10:26 PM, APD officers were dispatched to a collision in the 5900 Block Of NE 9th Avenue. Khan Naing, a 55 year old male of Amarillo, had been struck by a vehicle and was deceased in the roadway. It was reported to Officers Khan was lying in the road before the accident. A red Dodge truck had been eastbound on NE 9th Avenue and ran over Khan. The vehicle involved fled the scene. Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn has ordered an autopsy.
