Yucaipa deputies arrest PRCS probationer for fleeing in a stolen vehicle.

PC 496D(A) - Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
LOCATION: 17th Street and Avenue E, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Donald French, 54 YOA, Transient
SUMMARY: Deputies attempted to stop a gray Toyota Tacoma pickup for vehicle code violations. The truck which was reported stolen out of the City of Colton, fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle, driven by Donald French, came to an abrupt stop and French fled on foot. French was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. French is a transient out of the San Bernardino area and is on felony PRCS probation for a prior vehicle theft. French was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and felony evading. He was booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. French's bail is set at $100,000 and he may face additional charges related to violating his probation.
