INCIDENT: Death Investigation
LOCATION: Barton Road and Canal Street, Grand Terrace, CA
VICTIM(S): Jerry Aldama Jr., 33 year-old, resident of Colton
SUMMARY:
On August 18, 2019, at 2:19a.m., a deputy from the Grand Terrace Sheriff’s Station was on patrol in the area of Barton Road and Canal Street. While conducting extra patrol of local businesses, he located a subject, later identified as Jerry Aldama Jr. lying on the ground. When the deputy went to check on Aldama Jr., he discovered Aldama Jr. was deceased. During a preliminary assessment, there was evidence which led the deputy to request detectives to respond.
Detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Homicide Division responded and conducted an extensive onscene investigation. They were better able to assess the condition of Aldama Jr. and determined there were no obvious signs of trauma to the decedent. The cause and manner of death will be determined through an autopsy.
