Just before 2PM today, the Sheriff's Office received a report of a man with a gun in the creek behind Barcelona Drive, Boyes Hot Springs. The caller reported a man carrying a rifle was walking in the dry creek bed between Barcelona Drive and Lomita Avenue. Several deputies responded quickly to search the area. Henry 1 assisted deputies by searching for the man from the air.
Ultimately, deputies found a construction worker matching the description provided working with tools nearby. He did not have a gun. Deputies determined there was no man with a gun as reported. Henry 1 and deputies have cleared the area and returned to normal duties.
