Rustin Hill barricaded himself in an apartment and was later arrested for Kidnapping & Domestic Violence

SUSPECT: Rustin Hill, 29 years old from Needles

SUMMARY:
On January 9, 2020 at about 7:03 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a domestic violence call in the 1500 block of Lillyhill Drive. When deputies arrived and contacted the victim, the suspect, later identified as Rustin Hill, ran into his residence and barricaded himself inside. The victim reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Rustin Hill and forced out of a residence against her will. The victim ran to a near-by apartment for help where she was dragged-out of that apartment by the suspect.
Numerous attempts were made to get Hill to exit the residence. The Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division (SWAT) was enroute to the scene when the suspect finally responded to the repeated announcements and exited the residence without incident. Hill was arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail for PC 207 Kidnapping and PC273.5(a) Spousal Abuse. Hill is being held on $50,000.00 bail pending a court hearing.
