Yesterday deputies arrested a man on six charges related to drug possession and sales and arrested a woman for four no bail felony warrants.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., a deputy was driving behind a BMW on Santa Rosa Avenue near East Robles Road. The driver switched lanes twice in an apparent attempt to not be followed by the deputy. The deputy ran the plates through dispatch and found the plates were registered to a Toyota. The deputy pulled over the driver, who quickly complied by pulling into a parking lot. As the deputy was walking to the car, she learned the license plates were reported stolen.
The deputy got the driver out of the car and handcuffed him because the car might have been stolen. The driver, later identified as Leslie Spadoni, 42 years old, Santa Rosa, didn’t have any evidence the car was registered to him. The deputy searched him, finding just over 65 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 50 pills of hydrocodone, commonly known as Vicodin. She also found he was carrying over $2,000 in cash.
Additional deputies were responding when a woman later identified as Sarah McGee, 33 years old, homeless, walked up to the deputy. She told them she had just gotten the car back from a nearby repair shop and was going to sell the car to Spadoni. However, the car wasn’t registered to her. A deputy learned she had four no bail felony warrants and arrested her.
Deputies searched the car with help from a K-9 and did not find any more drugs.
Spadoni was booked into jail for felony possession of drugs for sale, transporting drugs, committing felony while on bail, possessing drugs for the purpose of sale, and misdemeanor driving without a license and receiving known stolen property. He was released on $40,000 bail today. McGee was booked into jail for four no bail felony warrants for violation of mandatory supervision; she is still in custody.
