Robert Belisle is arrested for vehicle theft, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition

LOCATION: La Mesa Road & Amargosa Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Robert Belisle, 24-year old Victorville resident
VICTIM(S): Confidential male
SUMMARY: On February 26, 2020, Deputy N. Collas received information reference the location of a 2007 GMC Sierra truck that had been stolen from a home in the 14200 block of Luna Road, earlier that morning. Collas spotted the truck near La Mesa Road and Amargosa Road. With the assistance of additional deputies from the Victorville Police Department, a traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Nisqualli Road and Balsam Road.
The suspect, later identified as convicted felon Robert Belisle, was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a loaded firearm. As a convicted felon on parole, Belisle is prohibited from possessing a firearm and ammunition. He was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for vehicle theft, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on February 28, 2020.
