Change in PD Lobby Status/Closed for Walk-Ins

Hello Fairfield,

Effective Monday March 23, 2020 the Police Department Lobby will be closed through April 7th, 2020. This is in line with our efforts as a community to curb the spread of the COVID-19/Coronavirus. Please be flexible with us as this timeline could change based on how things develop.

We are still here for you!

Attached is a cheatsheet for how to deal with routine matters regularly completed at the lobby. These notices will be displayed on the lobby doors, but we wanted to get them to you ahead of time so you don’t have to show up to a locked door. While the lobby may be closed the Police Department is still fully operational...we will simply be operating a little differently during this new COVID-19/Coronavirus time. Many calls that we would generally do in person, as that is the most receptive way, will be completed online or by telephone. If at all possible, please complete non-emergency reports online or over the phone.

Patrol officers are still out in the community and will be responding in person to priority public safety calls as we always have. Again we are here for you, but work with us as we all navigate this new environment.
