COVID-19; "Hey, San Leandro;" READ THIS!
Statewide Public Health Order remains in effect!
San Leandro; stay home, stay healthy! This message is a reminder that the Alameda County Public Heath order, and the order from the Governor of the State of California regarding the Coronavirus pandemic REMAINS IN EFFECT!
Unless you are performing necessary tasks, the instruction is to STAY HOME! The beautiful weather is undoubtedly inviting for outdoor activities. However, being outdoor for a walk, run, hike, or play can only be in small numbers, and people must maintain a distance of at least 6 feet apart from one another. Groups that congregate are violating the order and will be disbursed by police.
People who are over 60 or those who have a chronic health condition are the most susceptible to this virus and are required to stay home.
Remember, essential business means going to purchase food, care for a relative, traveling to/from work (with travel documents), necessary hardware, fuel, hospital visits, obtaining medication, etc.
For more information on these orders and COVID-19, visit the City of San Leandro's website at https://www.sanleandro.org/
We must all do our part to get through these difficult times. Educate others who may not be following the order or who may be unfamiliar with the limitations. Stay home and stay safe!!
