SHERIFF VICTOR HILL’S Elite COBRA Unit Continues To “Strike” Crime During COVID19 Challenge To Keep Clayton Safe!

Some jurisdictions around the country have given criminals a reprieve during the COVID19 challenge allowing them to take advantage of a difficult situation.

Not so in Clayton County!

While taking the necessary measures to protect themselves and others from COVID19, COBRA and all members of the Sheriff’s Office will not standby and allow criminals to prey on Clayton County under any circumstances.  As our citizens continue an excellent job of doing their part to keep the spread of COVID19 low in Clayton County, Sheriff Victor Hill ordered his elite COBRA unit to continue to “strike” crime to help keep everyone safe during this difficult challenge.  Since the COVID19 situation began, COBRA has made 68 arrests, removed 13 guns from the hands of criminals, and recovered 8 stolen vehicles.   Criminals who would be so bold to prey on the innocent during these difficult days will find themselves in difficulty dealing with COBRA.

We want encourage everyone to continue to stay home as much as possible, wash hands frequently, sanitize surfaces, and rest assured that the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office will continue to protect no matter what.  Stay Strong Clayton County, this too shall pass.
