Suspect: Jermine Allen, 25 years old (In-custody)

On March 21st, Redwood City Police Officers responded to the victim’s residence on a report of a domestic violence incident involving the victim and her ex-boyfriend, identified as Jermine Allen. Allen was not on scene when officers arrived. The victim told officers she and Allen were in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation two days ago while at the residence. The victim sustained significant visible injuries as a result of the confrontation.

Redwood City Police Detectives learned Allen already had an arrest warrant for a previous domestic violence incident with the same victim and also had a warrant from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for a parole violation. Detectives obtained an additional arrest warrant for Allen and began conducting surveillance at various locations associated with Allen.

On Friday, March 27th, Redwood City Police Detectives were conducting surveillance at a residence in the city of San Pablo when they observed Allen exit the residence and walk towards the driveway. Detectives attempted to contact him, however Allen fled on foot. Detectives were able to apprehend Allen after a brief foot pursuit and take him into custody. Allen was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for the warrants.
