Recently, Avondale Estates has experienced a small number of "Entering Auto" incidents occurring randomly throughout the City. In the cases reported, normally small items or nothing have been taken and no forced entry indicated. To assist in preventing such occurrences, please remember to:

* Lock your vehicles at all times.
* Remove valuables from vehicles - or remove from view.
* Activate your auto alarms (if you have one)

A description of a possible suspect vehicle is listed as:
Ford SUV type truck, either an Explorer or Ranger, white in color, with two male suspects (black or Hispanic).

Also, there has been 2 incidents (Wiltshire & Clarendon) where unoccupied dwellings (for sale) have had copper tubing removed from underneath the building. In each incident, no one in the immedate area had seen or heard unusual activity, persons or vehicles.

AEPD units have increased patrol activities in the residential area and ask citizens to report any suspicious persons or vehicles immediately by calling 911. Anyone having possible information pertaining to any of the mentioned incidents should call Inv. Tom Gillis at (404) 391-4526.
