Over the next several weeks, the Chula Vista Fire Department will be highlighting smoke detectors (alarms). Smoke detectors are also the theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week.

This week’s topic is smoke detectors and day cares. Back to school means back to day care for some children. When dropping your children off at daycare, look up for safety. Make sure your home day care has working smoke detectors. And if in doubt, don’t be afraid to ask the day care operator to show that the detector is operational.
