Col. Patrick A. Murphy, Berwyn Heights Chief retired after 37 1/2 year career in law enforcement. 
On August 31, 2010 at approximately 3:00 pm, Chief Patrick A. Murphy retired after 371/2 year career in law enforcement, 10 yrs 9 months as the Chief of the Berwyn Heights Police Department. We all wish him the very best of health and happiness.
I will assume command of the BHPD and act as an interim Chief until a replacement is made.
