During last evening or the early hours of this morning (09-09-10) two incidents of criminal activity occurred on Nottingham Drive (900 block). One incident involved entering an unsecured auto with nothing being taken and the second incident involved the unsuccessful attempt to remove a motorcycle from the backyard of a residence.

Residents are being asked to exercise a heightened sense of awareness in their neighborhoods and to call 911 immediately should they observe suspicious persons, vehicles and/or activity.

The Avondale Estates Police Department is continuing increased/assorted patrol activities during the evening and early morning hours.
