On 09-08-2010 at approximately 7:00 p.m., Town of Beloit officers made two arrests in connection with the 08-28-2010 burglary at Mobile Gas Station, 2405 Riverside Drive, Beloit. Officers arrested Danny C. Kvistad, 30, of Janesville. At the time of his arrest, Kvistad was on a probation hold at the Rock County Jail in relation to this incident.

Kvistad was charged with one felony count of burglary, one felony count of criminal damage to property, and one misdemeanor count of theft. He is being held in jail until his initial court appearance 09-09-10.

Town of Beloit officers also arrested Eugene G. Philippi, 32, of Janesville. Philippi is suspected of being the driver of the vehicle and taking part in the crime. At the time of his arrest, Philippi was also on a probation hold at the Rock County Jail in relation to this incident, as well as for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Phillipi was charged with one felony count of party to a crime burglary, one felony count of party to a crime criminal damage to property, one misdemeanor count of party to a crime theft, and one misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property. He is being held in jail until his initial court appearance 09-10-10.

Total cost of damages and monetary loss to the business during the burglary are estimated to be over $9,300. The video surveillance capturing the burglary was previously released to the media, resulting in several tips that led to Kvistad’s arrest. The Town of Beloit Police Department credits the cooperation of the public in helping to solve this crime.
