Sunnyside, WA- On Tuesday August 24th Sunnyside Police responded to a hit and run accident where a 2 year old boy was hit by a 1988 GMC K1 pick up. Since the 24th Sunnyside Police have been actively looking for Jose G. Casas, DOB 01/25/1977 of Outlook. He will be charged with Hit and Run- RCW 46.52.020 (4)(b).



According to witness statements the GMC truck struck the two year old in the 1300 block of Lincoln Ave in Sunnyside shortly before 8pm. The driver then exited the vehicle and fled on foot from the scene. A witness transported the child to Sunnyside Community Hospital. The child was then transported to Harborview and has since been released. Witnesses identified Casas as the driver who fled the scene of the accident.
