Full Notification

This morning, approximately 03:00AM, an AEPD officer observed a vehicle on Wiltshire Drive that matched the description of a vehicle which had been "car jacked" earlier from the parking lot of the Wal-Mart on Memorial Drive. As the officer attempted to stop the vehicle a pursuit ensued. AEPD officers pursued the vehicle into the rear parking area of the Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church until the vehicle stopped as it hit the treeline. Occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

AEPD officers recoverd the stolen auto, aided in the identification and the arrest of the suspects. The car jacking investigation continues by the DeKalb County Police Department.
